For this upcoming project entitled BA6: Specialism i'm doing a variety of concepts of creatures and animals. I will finalize up four of them and choose one of those four to model in Z-Brush (or Mudbox, should problems occur)
So, first things first, researching animals (gotta make them believable)
So first, I grabbed several images of tropical fish from Google Images for help with designs and colours.
This now inspires me to create concepts for an aquatic creature with the colours and elegant appearances of several of these fish.

I've done a few sketches of some aquatic animal designs based on these few images I researched
My scanner is inaccessible at this given time
The first distinguishable design is the humanoid creature. She is based on Sirens and mermaids of Greek Mythology.
The bottom right creature is a large eel type monster of the deep, the "lumps" on it's sides actually being similar to the Anglar Fish's light.
There are also three small fish type creatures drawn out here but not much about them other than typical small fish lives and habits.
In the end, I chose the Siren because her design appealed to me the most

I proceeded to colour her based on the fish I researched.
She ended up with eight colour choices and I was drawn to three of them.

After a tough decision I went with the blue because it struck me as more regal looking, fitting for the Queen of the Sirens
